So that leaves me with another different odd question. My 1986 Syncro Doublecab truck (originally Canadian) has its battery under the left front seat, and nothing (even wiring holes) under the right seat. I once thought that this might be because I also have a non-walkthrough version, with the cab divider and rather wide left seat, but have been told by others that have 9-seaters (same front seats, same cab divider) that their batteries were on the left -- or were diesels (I have one of these, too... too many Vanagons now [6]).

Anybody else have their main battery on the left like me?

Malcolm
