Ok, simple, the alternator goes to a junction box on the left upper part of the engine compartment then goes to the starter and then travels back up to the battery on the same cable that powers the starter"the big one." At least that is the way it is on mine.

On the cable that goes to the main (starting) battery there are several things crimped together. The big fat one is no doubt the starter cable. The question is which one comes from the alternator?
