This sounds more like squeeking belts than an actual alternator noise.  Belts
will squeek when they are a bit too loose or develop a hard slick surface.
The noise occurs when the pulley spins faster thn the belt moves and slip
occurs between the two.  Cold belt are less pliable than warm ones and will
often make the terrible skreetching racket for a few moments.
