Subject: THANK YOU all...more than 20 pmail responses to my "van totaled
              question"

Most responses were immediate. Others, just as helfpul, have continued to filter in regarding my question about dealing with the insurers. Many pmailed us just to express good thoughts or concern, knowing that we had just finished installing the new engine and such. Our thanks to all of you who have responded and continue to respond. Nice.

The ongoing need is for written documentation of the existence of similar vehicles for sale anywhere in the US, the asking price, location, phone number, and any other relevant details. For those of you who may have missed the original post, I went to pick up the van at a local detail shop (there for "finishing touches"...yes, pun intended : ) and learned that an out of control car had careened into it at a high rate of speed, rolling it onto its side for an extended skid. For those of you interested in crashworthiness, the driver of the van (shop employee who obviously had his own agenda) leapt from the van uninjured and sprinted off into the sunset just as it finished its passenger side skid (POI was slidding door/rear qtr).

For those of you who may be able to find ads which you can scan (or summarize) and pmail re. similar vehicles, a description follows: 1990 Westfalia Multivan (Burgundy color) loaded; power everything very, very clean condition, inside and out 223 miles on new dealer engine, rebuilt tranny, new clutch

As much docmentation is needed as possible, re. the vehicle for sale, including of course the contact person's name and number.

Thanks again,

John
