I found a '85 Sciroco today with less than 100k miles but some rear end damage. I am pulling the engine tomorrow for my '85 Vanagon engine conversion. I was just wondering if the Sciroco engine was the normal Jetta/Golf motor or if it was like the GTI/GLI motor with the bigger valve head? Is there a code on the head or where should I look? I am going to pull it regardless but it would be a bonus for it to have a bit more power. Any help appreciated. Those not interested press "delete". Ken Wilford John 3:16
