To one & all:

For all those (especially our non-US) list members who plan on making future donations to the list, please insure that your checks are made against US dollars. I'm currently at war with my bank over a $19 (US) 'penalty' for a $15 (approx. $13+) check from a non-US list member. To add insult to injury, they didn't cash the check. Apparently, the bank isn't sure about the conversion ... and I thought banks were supposed to be knowledgeable about such things.

Anyway, this IS NOT the list-members fault, just a quirk in the way my bank does (or doesn't know how to do) business with non-US client checks. I'll get this issued resolved, but to circumvent future problems please remit donations in US funds. Money orders drawn against US funds are one option. I recently received a US cash donation wrapped in a letter. Although I would normally discourage sending cash through the mail, this worked great this time around.
