Phil Thank God that they did not outlaw pit camping! I did not mean to imply that the only place people camp is in gravel pits, I apologize if I offended. Your province is one of the best places to camp. The scenery is just great and the hospitality generous. Could you give me a little more detail about the public access, like how from the water is it public domain? I was also wondering if there were many good repair shops/dealers around the island? When I have been there before I was driving a Saab, so I wasn't looking for VW stuff. We hope to be on the west coast this August and would love to meet some Newfoundland Westie owners if you are on that side of the island
