Where IS the drain plug for the transmission ( 5 speed) and the fill hole for the front differential?? I've crawled all over the bottom side of our '87 and perused the Bentley but can't find either. Also, how do you situate the big 17mm allen wrench to open the fill plug on the tranny? It appears to be really tight spot. Kevin Sullivan > Ok Hunter, your rear trans has a drain hole and a fill hole. The one that's >by the shift selector is your fill hole, the one on the bottom of the trans isthe drain hole. Drain the fluid, put the drain plug back on (requires a 17mm >allen wrech), fill the trans with some good synthectic gear oil, fill until it >runs out, put the drain plug back on. The same service is required for the >front differential also, same layout, one drain hole on the bottom, and one >fill hole on the side, fill until it runs out. Hope this helps, Michael M. 87 >syncro. > "Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right" Hunter/Garcia |
