Update to a/c R134a retrofit from May 8th: I have received several e-mails from list members, asking about the cooling performance of the R134a refrigerant. I measured the temperature of the cooling air at the a/c vents in the back in the camper. It showed 42 degrees Fahrenheit. I haven't noticed a temperature difference between R12 and R134a. But, of course, my R12 never seemed to work for very long. It sure is a lot less costly to recharge with R134a, compared to R12. Harald '90 westy |
