Bike {lift} from Newsport the name of the rack. Ortlieb is the distributor out of S.E. Renton Washington. Effortlessly lifts and lowers your bike for you. It doubles for a work stand to tune up your bikes at waist level. No lifting, no ladder needed, and it is on the roof out of the way. It has a spring mechanism that is attached to a arm which lifts and lowers your bike for you. This system will mount to Yakama or Thule or any other roof racks. We carry a Santana tandem bike lifts it no problem, mountain bikes and kayaks with no trouble. When camping we just push up the pop top and it out of the way and almost theft proof, its so high you would need a 6' ladder to try to rip it off. Also you could lock it if necessary. We have traveled all over the U.S and Canada and never had any trouble. And we are not involved with the company. I spoke to a guy named Brian and he was very helpful. Its is really a great system! Tell him you heard about it from Bill Carden in Pa. Here are their numbers. fax # 425-251-0226 phone # 425-251-3939 |
