Since we're on the subject of Fog Lights, a while back there where discussions on where to mount them.

On my 89 Wolfsbure Ed. decided to mount them on the top side of the bumper. What I ended up doing was removing the bumper and for each light made a bracket using some angle stock to create an s shape bracket. My father drilled 2 holes, and with some strange pins inserted taped the holes to mount my brackets. Reason for the s shape is to mount the lights back to the lower front grill. I also made it so the square lights are just barely high enough to still mount the light covers, so I needed to cut two small square notches in the bumper.

end product the lights are lower than the head lights and no mounting brackets and holes are visible.

Sorry I don't have any pictures for now.

take care, Miguel Winterpacht
