Just returned from picking up a boat in Alameda. Some thoughts collected on the 2000 mile trip from and to Victoria:

1. How many people does it take to maintain roads in California? Two. One to drive the pickup and one to put out the signs saying ROUGH ROAD.

2. On the whole one week trip, I saw nine vans. I see more than that every hour in Victoria. You guys are an endangered species down there!

3. Not connected to the trip, I finally tried my fridge. Works perfectly on 110. (Ambient temp 20, fridge temp 0.) Now I can make tiiiiiny little ice cubes in the tiiiiny little tray. But it doesn't work on propane. Archives, here I come.
