To be, or not to be, that isn't the question but it's what jumped from my fingers...

Here's the question (as well as the embedded problem)...the van has always had a problem with CO2 being in spec. I've never been able to get it down to 1.5. I was speaking with a local VW guru who told me that all the FI equipped motors had an O2 sensor, except that mine doesn't. The supposition here is that a PO swapped out the current non-O2 manifold for the prior O2 equipped type.

I don't buy any of this, but it's worthwhile to pose the question to the group, maybe I'll get a clue to my unsmoggable issues from someone as well.
