I checked out the thing. It looked good on the outside, but $5500 for a gas stinkin', noisy, nowhere-near "excellent" condition interior? No way!

Thanks to all of you who put in lots more than 2 cents on the air-cooled vs. water-cooled aspects of my westy search. That is exactly why I joined this list! I really appreciate your time and effort.

Now I must join the ranks of those looking for a Synchro Westy, especially those undervalued units in the East coast. But how can I believe sellers' claims from across the country enough to put down cold cash?
