What a nice Friday :)

I've always waited for the light to stop but not because I felt it in and of itself signified anything (I do realize its just checking to make sure the light really works). I think there is a by product in waiting. I've never had to crawl under and beat my starter with a hammer :) I personally feel that by using the stikn'blikn'light as a timing device, the fuel pump can get all warmed up to pump, sufficient electrons can make their way along that long path from the battery to the starter, and, in essence, the engine is allowed time to get psyched up. I mean really. Does a weight lifter just non-challantly walk up to a 500 lb weight and pick it up without pausing to compose him/herself? No, they stop and wait for the proper karma. Why should we deny our beloved vanagons of this? I mean really, none of us can honestly be in a rush to get somewhere if we own a vanagon? ;) You see, that stink'blink'light is how my van communicates to me that it has prepared and is now willing to start on its next journey.

happy friday one and all :) Tonya 87 Vanagon GL Wolfs
