It has been a few years since I did Interstate 80 (and then in my bug). I do remember it being basically pretty flat across Nevada and Utah. This last winter I did Interstate 70 (in Colorado)...in my Corrado. Again pretty flat until you get to the Rockies. I did it going west. While GlenAllen(?) Canyon is neat, I don't think you'll like trying to make it up to the Eisenhower tunnel.

I also did US Route 50 (going East) in Colorado. Monarch Pass (continental divide) will be a bit slow for you, but I think most of the rest should be pretty easy. I especially liked the Arkansas River valley on the eastern side. The two sections of 50 that will slow you down will be Monarch Pass and Cerro Pass (over the Cimarron Mountains).

I recommend 50 over 70 on a personal basis.
