Royal Flush!

Dear Fellow Syncronaut Coolers,

After reading volumes in the archives about the dangers of antifreeze I called my local F.A.S.T. (vw repair specialist) to ask if they carried the expensive Autobon brand antifreeze, and they said they used "DEX COOL", which is also phosphate free, but wouldn't exactly say if it was silicate free???? They seemed to imply it was as good as autobahns...??

I wondered if any of you have had any experience with Dex?? It is only about $7. per gallon as opposed to Autobahns $19. !! Also I wondered if any of you have a recommendation for a good flush? (A good flushing agent!) Will any of the over the counter flushes work fine, or are they just fleecing us??

I would like to hear from others who have had a similar problem,

what your experience had been...

Thanks for any thoughts....
