 Automobile magazine did a story 8 years ago on the lonelyest stretch of
highway in America. The story imspired me to drive the route they had
recommended. The route was from Reno on hwy 50 to Grand Junction Colorado.
They were in a Porsche 911 Turbo though. The drive is very isolated and
interesting. It's like being on the moon. There's nobody around. From Grand
Junction take hwy 70 to Denver.  From Denver on your way back, check out the
Rocky Mountain national park northwest from Denver, and from there, take hwy
40 west to Salt Lake city and then hwy 80 back home. Have fun.       I drove
