The top of the range Caravelle comes with a 5 cylinder 2.6i engine. The 2.1 was stopped in 1993 and replaced with a 2.5i. A few years later it was replaced with the 2.6i. there is also a 2.3 available. These are all five cylinder engines. the bottom of the range is a 1.8 - this is a four cylinder.

The Syncro was first made here in 1989 and they stopped in 1993/4 when the 2.5 came out.

There were two versions.

Standard version with round head lights - optional power steering, Air con, central locking Caravelle with square head lights - includes power steering, Air con, central locking, electric mirrors, electric windows and armchair seats etc.

There are people who have put the new 5 cylinder into their Syncro, but you need to raise the floor at the back and do a bit of cutting of the inside panel behind the rear lights apparently.

Another conversion done here is the ford 3L v6

I copied the specs for the top of the range Caravelle below for info.
