US 50, the so-called Loneliest Road in America, got much lonelier. Read in the paper today that it is closed because of a washout from flooding somewhere near Austin, NV-where ever that is. It is a great drive though and maybe they will have it fixed in time you your return trip. On my way back from Utah a couple years ago I drove the entire stretch across NV without passing or being passed by another car!
