we stopped in austin for gas. i remember it well because except from ely,
it was one of the biggest "towns". i believe the town's sign read "Welcome
to Austin, the Loneliest Town on the Loneliest Road in America". no
argument. the town was at one of the several passes on hwy 50, i can see
how it could get washed out by flash floods.

be cautious. but then again, you have a syncro, right?!?
