Hi Lawrence Central locking problem ? Welcome to the club...Go to the archives and see the recent thread on that subject. I removed the passenger door cent.lock motor (the faulty one), opened it and cleaned it, BUT before, I tried just cleaning the connectors. and repluged it. That might do it. Disconnect battery ground when working on it. The faulty motor (there are one for each door), which was preventing me to lock from outside from both front doors, which by the way control the 4 doors altogether, had rust springs inside... I fixed it but when reinstalled, the lock keeps unlocking again. So I am exploring options now. Buying a new one or simply take the one from the rear hatch and put it in the passenger door. We need the key to open the rear hatch anyway and no doors can be locked or unlocked from there. So it is my guess that it is an unnecessary motor...Want to try first ?
