Hey, I guess I was thinking correctly. I tried switching wires and no change. So I simply unplugged the 02 and found it runs smoothly again. Yes I was using the three wire one. Should I exchange it? (I'd go ahead and buy the VW sensor but it lists up here for $189.00 & I've already spent $40) I'm sure I'll need one to pass Mass. state inspection because I had it inspected a few weeks ago and the 02 levels were twice the minimum requirement.

I appreciate your help. Steve
