I need to amend that post from last week with the following:


"In apparent need of a tranny rebuild..."  Serves me right, eh...


I need help.  I have promised my twins that we would be camping at the
motocross nationals this weekend.  This entails a 300 mile trip (total)
on flat freeway.  Am I foolish to drive this last trip before the syncro
goes into convalesence?  Is it likely I will damage the ring & pinion
(is that right?)if I drive it 300 miles gently?  My understanding is
that that part alone is about $500.
The tranny noise is recent and not too bad and only at higher freeway
speeds.
Any help appreciated.
