I have a local source for tailgate struts at about $ 10 per side. This low price was granted me by a friend who gets them wholesale as he works at an auto supply warehouse. I am not sure if they are the same quality as those available from our normal vendors, as I understand there is a significant difference in the longevity of these struts, depending upon manufacturing standards. Mine are new, so I can't attest to their long term reliability. The manufacturer is Champ Service Line, part # 420391. If anyone has experience with this brand, please advise. If it is okay with my friend to handle orders on an individual, retail basis, I would be happy to refer Listees to him. If there is much response, I will contact him and ask if he can do this without a problem with his supervisors. (After all, this is a wholesale warehouse.)
