I haven't tried leaving the engine running after a long ride. I'll have to test that. Should I use a radiator leak sealer or an engine leak sealer ? I use synthetic engine oil and noticed that most engine leak sealers are pertoleum based, could this cause problems ? -----Original Message----- From: dgibbons@presray.com [mailto:dgibbons@presray.com] Sent: 19 mai, 1998 14:56 To: Felix.Martel@CUM.QC.CA Subject: Re:Air in my coolant - part deux
what happens if you stop driving after a long trip but don't shut off the engine? Is there air then? If no then you may have a problem with air being sucked into the system during cool-down. If yes then the air is coming from a leak in a head. Have you tried one of the leak sealers? |
