Hi all,

I was talking to a friend of mine in Nebraska last night and he had an interesting missed-deal story:

Some hill-billy types that live by a place he used to work had a water-cooled westy with Florida plates they were asking $80 for! It needed clutch slave cylinders and they lost the key. By the time word had reached my buddy from a former co-worker, the Vanagon had been sold, but my buddy checked it out anyways. It had the square headlights, a clean looking motor and some of the camper its were missing. The body was pretty decent.

My buddy isn't into Vanagons, but is a VW nut. He says he would of bought it in a heart-beat for me. Oh well, I can't always be a Vanagon magnet! 8-) --- Jon Christensen Check Out the Vintage VW Club of America: Vvwca@primenet.com http://www.concentric.net/~Vvwca
