My inline 4 swap is working great! I just drove 1400km and the ONLY
problem was a leak from a old and cracked coolant hose... not the engines
fault, just the cheap owners fault ;)
The only thing I have to add is if you are going to do a V4 I4 swap DO NOT
use us a 1.6L as I did. There is not enough power to keep a constant
100km/h going. At times on long 18% greades 2nd gear is needed and I am at
a crawling speed of 60km/h @ 4000 rpm. Driving with the pedal to the metal
I go 22mpg. Again this will improve with a bigger motor as it will not
have to work as hard.
Once the wasserboxes sells I will be installing a 2.0L block and I will
have more power than the original 2.1L wasserboxer.
