I have a diesel engine from a 1982 vanagon, head and injector pump have less than 12K miles. The block looks good but it is in need of a ring job.

I am keeping the oil pan and pump, several other small items.

Before I blew the head gasket, I was doing 60 mph cruising and 25.7 mpg. The mpg was irrespective of highway driving, stop and go driving, or just idling in my driveway waiting for a warm vanagon to climb into.

I pulled it in order to install a gas engine. I need a bit more power against Kansas winds that blow 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. I would cruise fine at 60, hit one of those gusts and be trundling along at 40.

If you arrange and pay the shipping........$200 If I arrange and pay the shipping............$450

If no takers by June 1, I will have to let her go to the "honest" part lot man for $50.

Thanks, Steven E. Broomhead, Sr.
