Felix; To diagnose a similar problem I had mechanic "sniff" the air in the expansion tank with the exhaust analyzer. This eliminated the cracked head possibility because there were no hydrocarbons present. The culprit was a clogged radiator. Removed it from the vehicle and had it "blasted" out.
