Hello TD Volks,

I finally got the catalogue from HA Projekt. As I am looking through it I see the posting of a TDI conversion for DM 15500 if you bring in a Diesel Vanagon. They calculate about 75 hours of labour. (I guess plus the cost of shipping it from North America).

However, they offer an intercooler for TD engines which raises the output by about 20% turning the 70Hp TD into an 84hp engine. note: The intercooler cools the intake air which is heated up through the turbocharger (by up to 70 degrees Centigrade) creating higher density and therefore more power. The system consists of two heat exchangers (one to cool the intake air, one to cool the coolant) a water pump, hoses, a special air filter and attachments. HA Projekt wants DM 1599 for the complete kit. Anyone interested? Maybe there are appropriate parts available in North America as well?

I am still keeping my eyes and ears open for a good and reasonably priced TDI engine, but unfortunately there are other things in my life too.
