It is not easy being a dad and when your son, the one helping copy the tapes reads the copyright notice at the end of the tape and asks if I called and got permission... since you went to law school anyway. And I should have told him that lawyers are above the law and we can copy whatever we want.

But that was two weeks ago and as I was on the phone today with a very polite young lady at VW discussing case 980123612 (copy permission) for our newsgroup whoh again promised to get right back to me.

But I think that VW is like where I work, the Department of Energy, and getting right back is a relative term. So I will call again tomorrow.

I think all I have to prove to my son Matt is my "intent", that we try our best and then just copy the tapes.

For the faithful who have ordered the tapes,be patient with a dad trying to set the right example. For thosewho haven't ordered, I will have plenty form the stock of blank tapes I bought. I scanned the orig label also for the copies.
