I just returned from getting a front end alignment at my local independent VW mechanic. On the lot was the twin to my '91 silver Westfalia, but in Syncro format. It had the coolest looking tires on 14" VW alloys; they were: Centennial Canyon Climber M+S 27X8.50R14LT 6 Ply Rating - Load Range C Max 1515 LBS @ 50 PSI Cold (Is this a bit light?) Tread 2 ply steel-2 ply poly Sidewall 2 ply poly Fairly aggressive lug style tread - probably noisy on the road, but just what you syncronauts need. Apologies if this has been covered (but I did search the archives with "Centennial" and "Canyon Climber" keywords and came up blank). There doesn't appear to be a corporate web site, but a Yahoo! search turned up the following retailer: STS http://www.ststire.com/Cenlttrk.html -Blaine in ABQ |
