AVAILABLE: '82 camper with 83 Rabbit GTi engine installed.(former diesel) Runs great, very reliable. Replaced head with hyro-lifter head a few weeks ago. (so now its the same as a 90 1.8L engine.) Cruises at 70 MPH and gets 23MPG. 162K, well cared for,miles. Like new tires, Less than 10K on new brakes. Some new Radiator hoses. Full camper, everything works. Small mildew spot on Canvas, new poptop seal . Painted last year but some rust is showing in the seams. Not serious but annoying. I touched it up now and then to keep it looking good. Pull out 25 watt Sanyo stereo. Later GL captains seats up front. Selling to buy house. It really is a good camper, reliable without all the hassles of the Waterboxer engine. Located in Western Mass.
