There are 4 a/c high pressure hoses. My local VW dealer quoted me prices ranging from $73 for the short one to $382 (gasp) for the longest. My mechanic says that virtually every hose can be repaired, and at a much lower cost. Next week my a/c system gets checked, and I know there is at least one bad hose. As soon as mine are repaired, I will be happy to forward the results and prices.
