I just checked the '89 manual, which also claims that the Jack and tools should live there. It was news to me. I keep it all under the rear seat...it doesn't seem likely that it could fit under the driver's seat, but now I'm curious.

We tried a few different placements, including leaving it on the pedistal, but ended up stowing both tables in the wayback.
