I went to the local Autozone here in Gawga and saw a kit for converting a r-12 A/C system to R-134a. It was two canisters that hook inline when you change the system. One is a R-12 oil neutalizer and the other is the oil for the 134a. Talking to the guy at the desk he said they were selling alot of these kits and that they worked well for anything from the '80s and newer. He claimed that with this kit you could also keep your original dryer if it was still good. What do you folks think about this? I would really love to get my '91 Carats A/C charged and since anyone can buy R-134a and I could charge it myself, and the stuff costs 4 bucks a can, this sounds like the way to go. Please post your ideas and opinions on this subject to the List. Ken Wilford John 3:16
