Volkswagen said to be eyeing Lamborghini


FRANKFURT, Germany (May 26, 1998 2: 14 p.m. EDT)- After expressing
an interest in buying at least two new luxury carmakers, Volkswagen
AG may be poised to snap up Italian sports car maker Lamborghini
from an Indonesian-Malaysian consortium, analysts said.




Somebody said one day there will be just GM, Toyota & VW. Seems to be going in
that direction. With such a lack of competition would we still get such niche
machines like westy syncros?
