Regular "Scotchgard Fabric Protector" from 3M works really great on the canvas poptop. It makes the rain pearl-off. I reapply it once a year, but the canvas has to be dry when you apply it.

We also spent the weekend in the Cascades in Washington, the state. Camped by Leavenworth (Bavarian village). Nice and sunny there. Drove along the beautiful Columbia River. Picked up a giant nail in one tire before Okanagon. After having the tire patched, we drove on to Winthrop (old western town), where we camped at Lake Pearrygin State Park (beautiful campground). Drove back home on the North Cascade Highway, climbing 5,477 feet, still snow on the ground. Magnificient scenery. Did you see the chipmunks that were eating out of people's hands at the Ross Dam overlook? Saw a beautiful red westy there. Also saw several vanagons in Leavenworth, one beige air-cooled. Drove 720 miles in 3 days, averaged 20.4 miles per gallon, and it's an automatic. Hope to meet you all on the road.
