If a FLAPS wants to sell you a Bosch SR19X, tell them no way, you want the Bosch SR401X. The 401 is a couple of bucks higher than the 19, but has the correct solenoid. ($167.94 exch for SR401X)

BTW - Bosch lists NO replacement solenoids for any Vanagon past 1981 except for Diesels. You have to buy the whole thing. Bummer. >>
