Subject: Fitting of Front Curtains???
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

Vangoneers,

I am trying to figure-out how to attach the front curtains in my Vanagon. These are the great, large curtains that each cover one front door window and half of the windshield. My van did not originally have these fitted but I bought a set of used curtains out of an '86 Weekender and these were included so I thought that I'd try to fit them. They have what appear to be snaps for curtain tracks sewn into a reinforced webbing for about 1/3 of their length (I believe that this is the part that covers the door windows) - where do these attach? Is there supposed to be a curtain track on the top of the front doors? The remainder of the snaps are the larger, over-the-screw-in type. I assume these require snaps to be installed on the A/C duct over the windshield. Where is the best place to screw these in at? Any advice greatly appreciated.
