If memory serves, this person installed the alternate sized > rectangular lamps with a minimum of fuss. Joel Walker posted this March 5th and it's available in the archives. It was originally an article in the Limbo newsletter by Randy Bergum, who I wrote to for details. He responded with an offer to sell a complete kit for doing the conversion, including the Hella E-code lights, the brackets, and the connector adapters for $250. Alternatively, you can buy the plans for $20, but you may have to do some brazing to make the brackets. The Hella lights used are about an inch taller than the stock ones, so you'll have to trim your grill to make them fit, and they look a little funny next to the standard high beams, though replacements for these may be available as well.
