I wouldn't be suprised if VW's top sales are in California. There are millions of the buggers running around here. I see New Beetles almost daily(partly because I drive for a living!), but one or twice...3 times last week!(2 blk 1 silv) Although there's LOTS of Vanagons here, to most they're "just another van" as a driver I used to work with said about her 86 Westie. I thought it was COOL. The last Westie we had was a 82 diesel!! I think Phalos got rid of it though...it chugged black smoke so bad. VERY few wave back, but more airheads wave to me with their cute vintage buses. I hoping to meet some new VW pals in a couple week at the Rally and Classic! Anyone who plans on taking a trip in June MUST COME HERE and come to the show! (its the 13-14th of june....VW Classic Weekend)
