Has anybody ever simply cut the belt for the air conditioner? I never use the thing cause it isn't worth a ____! I also don't really need it in northern Wisconsin so why put the load on the engine. I'm considering cutting the belt off for the compressor and even removing the compressor for better access to plugs and grounding cables.

Is this a bad idea?

Bob
