Ford 2.3 longblock weighs 328 lbs according to KEP. A friend said they weigh ~400-500 fully equipped. In comparison to the 1.9, the 2.3 block is bigger and head is cast iron. Can't see any more reasons for increased weight, unless ford accessories are heavier. I will weigh the built 2.3 with accessories when I take it out. The current configuration is still the core block with parts attached to it haphazard for fitmet.
