My '91 binds terribly and seems to be getting worse as it ages. During the summertime when temperatures get above the mid 70s it can get quite bad (skidding tires turning into diagonal parking spaces on clean dry asphalt). When the weather is cooler I have no problems (it only binds and chirps when making tight U-turns or going in circles). After warming up on the highway it definitely gets worse. I've begun thinking making some kind of air scoop or duct work to blow cooling air on the transaxle to hold the temperatures down to try to help things. I can't help but believing that this binding has to be brutally destructive to the drivetrain. It's a good thing I live in a cool place w/six months of winter. Yes you have company!
