Oh boy, here we go again!

Without stepping on anyones toes when it comes to their favorite gear lube; my recommendation is for Redline MTL. This is a GL4 rated 75W-90 synthetic oil and is what I tell my customers to use. VW states that you should run their G50 synthetic but that stuff is about $25 a liter. The Redline, on the other hand, is about $8 a quart. I don't have the fluid capacity chart in front of me but you should fill it 'till it splooges out the fill hole. A little less than 4 quarts/liters if memory serves.
