Paul -
Check out my web page on my site. Although it deals with upgrading your
1.9 to a 86-91 2.1 Engine, there is an invaluable step-by-step procedure on
engine removal for your Wasser. And like Marcus says, have a Bentley
nearby for reference and the proper stuff.
One word of disagreement with Marcus - The engine is very easily removable
with the trans still kept in place, even moreso with Automatics such as
mine. Had the engine out very quick after spending a day tagging and
disconnecting stuff.
