Listees, Anyone want to resurrect this van? I'm probably just 20-30 miles east of it (In New Haven), and could take a look. I'm going out of town tomorrow though, so it either has to be tomorrow morning, before work, or next week when I'm coming back. Keith, more precisely where are you? What's your number? If the engine for some reason or another should turn out to be a basket case (unlikely), I will have a complete running 1.6 D (60k on rebuild) FS in a few weeks when I complete my 1.9 TD swap. A rebuilt long block can be had for $1000 + $100 freight from Jack Ewald in Ohio should you prefer that, or a new 1.9 longblock maybe $2000 (this might be whole sale price, don't remember). Should nobody desire to resurrect it, and it turns into a part van, I could also help parting it out. (need some parts, but this is *second choice*, no flames please) /Martin -- Martin Jagersand email: jag@cs.yale.edu Computer Science Department jag@cs.rochester.edu Yale University Slow down and visit the VW diesel Westy page: WWW: http://www.cs.rochester.edu/u/jag/vw ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
