Hey all, How in the hell do you lube the clutch pedal linkage on a Vanagon? Mine is getting kinda gritty-feeling and I'd like to lube it but I can't figure out how to get back there short of removing the brake master cylinder and servo. I did successfully lube the base of the shifter lever (much better!) and all the goodies where the throttle cable hooks up to the gas pedal (more moving parts than you would suspect). Both can be accessed from under the front of the van after dropping the spare tire. The shifter goodies are inside a metal box that bolts to the underside of the van and the accelerator linkage is hidden inside a plastic box that is screwed to the underside of the van. Minimal work to make everything feel a little better. Also if you do the shifter, lift the boot inside the cab and throw some grease on the upper part of the ball too :-) But if anyone's got hints on the clutch pedal, I'd love to hear them.
